What is the difference between Riverside.fm and other podcasting platforms?
Riverside.fm is a platform that has gained recognition for its ability to record high-quality audio tracks, even without video on. This software is especially useful for podcasters who want to start and create high-quality podcasts with crystal-clear video and audio. It also simplifies the synchronization of the sound and automatically creates backups of all recorded files.
What sets Riverside.fm apart from its competitors is its high-quality audio-video capabilities, and the best thing is its quality is not dependent on the Internet connection. In comparison to other podcast recording software like Squardcast.fm, Zencastr, OpenReel, and StreamYard, Riverside.fm offers top-notch capabilities that guarantee high-quality recordings than its alternatives.
Riverside.fm offers a range of pricing options including a free version. This free plan allows you to use Riverside as long as you want as there is no specific time limit. Also, you can access high-quality audio and video recordings and edit for up to 2 hours of content. Additionally, you can have a maximum of two remote participants in your recordings.
Despite its several advantages, some users have reported issues and bugs with the software and have expressed disappointment with the expensive premium plans offered by the software.
Can I use my own microphone with Riverside.fm?
Yes, you can use your own microphone with Riverside.fm. When you record with the Riverside app on a mobile device, there are several ways to connect a microphone, depending on your device. You can use wired headphones with a built-in microphone, an external 3.5 mm wired mic and wired headphones (requires a TRRS splitter), a USB microphone with wired headphones (requires a device with a USB-C port), or a Bluetooth headset with a built-in microphone.
